Q about Rip Glyph2010-03-29 00:00:00Judging from what I have read it increases the duration giving an extra damaging tick. Just one more tick. So it isn't a lot of damage added but some.
The main thing I have seen on it is the extra time allows for different feral DPS cycles. As the glyph adds 2 or more GCDs to Rip's duration.
A side question. On the rogue forums I was reading that cats and Rogues have a 1s GCD; I haven't checked. Is this true? Am I that oblivious? If so Rip glyph would add about 4 GCDs depending on lag which ...
Where to go from here, a tallent question.2010-03-20 00:00:00At 60 I enjoyed the benefits of FI much more frequently than I am now at 69th. I can't base this on hard facts as I have not been logging the application of ...
Hellforged Halberd v Sonic Spear2010-03-09 00:00:00I would say it depends slightly on your specc. If you are Survival, Sonic Spear would be better, through the +15 agility talent and enchant potential. With Beastmastery and Marksman, I'd probably consider them pretty much equal, with a very slight favor for Hellforged Halberd.
But they are so close to eachother, that when you have enchanted them it's pretty much just choosing what you think looks best. You can't really go wrong, either way. -Friar Bijou wrote:ITT: NorthAI is a Lęrd Kaolian wrote:We get so...
Learning to trap2010-03-03 00:00:00Sounds like you're getting it.
I'd recommend always having your pet on passive all the time. It's a good habit to get into and you have so much more control if you learn to command your pet yourself. (I use ctrl+1 to send in pet but I think shift+t might work too).
I tend to stick a trap quite far away (hmm, sometimes too far away) and pull it off the tank with arcane shot once the tank has pulled (although this will not work with body pulls, which s/he probably won't be using anyway).
Ideally you want to have laid the trap some time before the pull, so it's a good idea to lay it as soon as you are in position. Once the mob is trapped I sometimes run across to another part of the room, laying a trap either near the already trapped mob (if cooldown is up... and don't lay it to close or it will mess...
What We're Playing #352009-11-09 00:00:00Another month in gaming has flown by at GameSpy. In case you didn't know, the staff is split between two offices (north being in San Francisco and south being down in Orange County). A growing rivalry has recently emerged between the two factions (thanks to our new upcoming weekly column North vs. South) and as such, a lot of Gears of War has been played. Keep an eye out for the new column and take a look below to see what everyone's been playing, Gears and all.Bryn: Since my WoW habit needed a swift replacement, I've found solace in the terrible affliction that is 360 Gamerscore addict...
Free Runescape and World of Warcraft Membership2009-10-20 00:00:00How to get Free Runescape and World of Warcraft Membership Many of us are skeptical when it comes to websites that give out free prizes--myself being one of them. However, I have recently been searching the web for a website to prove me wrong. And guess what. I found a legitimate website! No credit cards are required!
Technically, the prizes are not handed out freely. You have to do a bit of work. What you do is you fill out surveys in the website, which generates income for the website. In return, the website rewards you with points. With these points, you can claim prizes. So, the website says that it gives out free prizes because you don't actually pay out of your wallet, but rather, with the points you earn.
The prizes that the website offers range from PS3's to Ultimate Game Cards. This website is famous for it's Ultimate Game Cards because with this item, you can subscribe for membership to countless games, such as Runescape and Everquest. For World of Warcraft fans, there are WoW prepaid cards that you can win from this website as well. I myself have just won an Ultimate Game Card which I used for Runescape membership. They sent me the code through email. Plus, it only took me about 30 minutes to get enough points for the game card. For photographic proof scroll down below and click on the photos.
Now, if you want to signup, just click HERE
I have also found another similar site to the one above which does the exact same thing. Signup HERE
Signup to both websites to get double points and double prizes!
List of some prizes:
1. Game consoles (Wii, PS3, Xbox360, etc.)
2. Game Cards (Ultimate Game Card and many others)
3. Online Games
4. Toys
5. Music
6. Gift Cards
7. Maplestory Mesos
8. OGPl...
Avoid the Pain, Grab a WoW Leveling Guide2009-09-24 00:00:00Leveling in the World of Warcraft can, for some, be compared to whacking your head into a wall: painful and something to be avoided.
Say what? Ok, to be fair, the first time, or even the first few times, leveling characters in WoW is a kick. Many of the quests are clever, fun, interesting, and have a good story behind them. Of course, some are little more than an excuse to kill off a bunch of Raptors, but others have a lot more detail, story, and humor.
Still, like any story told more than once, if you've done the quests several times they get old. If you've leveled many characters they might be really old. Trying different races doesn't help, since they all do the same quests once they get into their teens. If you've leveled many characters you might even find it ... painful. Doing it yet again becomes somewhat unattractive.
People do the leveling grind anyway because the end game content is so good and because their friends are already there and/or they want to try another character at that level. .
Playing different classes helps to alleviate the tedium, since the strategies and abilities are different, but still, it's all been seen before. PvP might help here. Twink out your character a bit and run around gank...
"Guitar Hero" strikes right chord2010-02-23 00:00:00LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - It sure helps to have the "Guitar Hero" franchise. On Wednesday, two big video game companies reported quarterly earnings, with Activision Blizzard impressing investors while THQ depressed them.
Activision Blizzard gave most of the credit to "Guitar Hero" and its many spinoffs, and executives called the game one of the most successful entertainment products of all time, in any medium.
At last count, 24 million units had shipped worldwide. More will move ahead of the holidays, though executives were cautious not to set the bar too high given the sorry state of the economy.
Shares of Activision Blizzard soared 11% to $12.14 in after-ho...
Interview with Kyle Rowley2009-09-18 00:00:00Kyle Rowley is RF Online's Community Manager. He recently took a few minutes to answer our questions in this WarCry interview. Find out what's been going on for this localized game from the British MMO publisher.
WarCry Q&A: RF Online
Answers by Kyle Rowley
Questions by Shannon Drake
WarCry: How has RF Online done since launch? Are you pleased/disappointed/etc. with its performance based on your expectations?
Kyle Rowley: Since the game launched in February of last year, we've seen gone through both highs and lows with the game - but overall, Codemasters are more than pleased with RF Online's performance. We always knew that the game would only really appeal to a niche market, so we never expected to hit World of WarCraft numbers. By successfully launching and operating RF Online, Codemasters Online Gaming have learnt a lot about all the different aspects of MMO games operation - this ranges from community interaction, server maintenance, developer relations and a host of other key areas. Our service can only get better as we learn from our mistakes on other products, so we have very high hopes for our future titles - especially The Lord of the Rings Online.

Hidden Gems Throughout Video Game History
Goin2009-09-14 00:00:00h2>As I stare at the back of my husband’s head, I grow more and more resentful. Every ”°clever”± quip into his headset gives me the violent urge to throw something at his head.
”°Honey,”± I direct through clenched jaws ”°Are you coming to bed? It’s 11:00 and I’m exhausted.”±
The standard reply? ”°I just have to finish this dungeon. Five more minutes, I promise.”± On that note, I roll over and go to sleep.
My husband is a recovering gaming addict. I say this with a mixture of fondness and frustration. Fondness that my husband still can play like a child and for me he harnesses his ability to game for days on end, and ...
